On its own the message of the gospel of Jesus can, and often will, generate resistance. In the days of Jesus there were many people who were believing in Him as Moshiach, a.k.a. Messiah or Christ, but who were not publicly confessing Him. Hear what the apostle John wrote,"Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God." John 12:42-43 (NASB95)
In our day we have the same choice to make. Are we going to confess Jesus or deny Jesus, His message? Hear what Jesus said, "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 10:32-33 (NASB95)
Let's be bold for Jesus, speaking, witnessing the truth in love. A lost world needs us not to cower.. Eternity is at stake. We do not need to fear their perceived or real intimidation. Hear what the apostle Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." Romans 1:16 (NASB95)
